I am a graduate student in Jordan Beach’s lab at Loyola University Chicago. I love microscopy, FIJI and python-based image analysis, and illustrating my science in various ways. Discovering how cells and tissues both make and sense forces is endlessly fascinating and I hope to continue studying this in my career.

I am currently looking for a post-doc position. Please contact me if you are interested/hiring!

My current dissertation work in the Beach lab is investigating non-muscle myosin 2 (NM2) filament assembly and amplification dynamics. I use confocal and super-resolution microscopy to quantify myosin filament appearance and growth to determine what factors precede or predict where myosin filaments will build and amplify in cells in order to produce cell-scale forces.
